Congratulations to both of the CrossFit Kitsilano teams who qualified for the 2012 CrossFit Taranis Winter Challenge!
10th place was CrossFit Kits Team 1: Fynnisher, Nancy Pants, our new phenom Connor aka the beast from the east and Robsie.
19th place was Team Crossbreed: “Special K” Kopr (CrossFit BC), Riback, Geoff aka “Sparky”, and Misch.
Nice work and we can’t wait to see you all out at the challenge!

Open registration will begin for all individual athletes on October 1st, 2012 and close on October 15th, 2012. There are no qualifiers for the individual competition and there will be an initial 80 spots for competitors. If demand is higher than expected, we may release more spots provided we have time in the schedule to add more heats.
Check-in for the event
will take place on Friday November 16th in the late afternoon. The first event will take place following check-in. Saturday will be all day and Sunday will hopefully be wrapped up by 4 pm.
There will be no scaling option for the event but we will do our best to program for inclusiveness.
We will not be having a masters category but we will be recognizing the top male and female finisher over 40 years of age. This is a step to possibly having a masters category or competition in future events but the logistics of having another entirely separate event is not possible with this year’s format.
Those of you who have been to our events before realize that our box gets very crowded. We will probably be selling spectator passes again this year at a small fee to attempt controlling the crowds. Children under 12 will be free.
Instructions for registering and purchasing spectators tickets will be going online closer to the registration date.
